The 21 year-old artist was riding with a female passenger on Sunday, May 30, 2011 when he accidentally crashed into the Palm Island Bridge in Miami Beach. He was then rushed to the trauma unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital after being rescued by an off-duty Coast Guard employee. Kingston has since been moved to the ICU where he remains hooked up to a ventilator with a tube inserted in his throat, "sedated but fully conscious." Kingston's 23 year-old passenger, Cassandra Sanchez, told TMZ that they were driving "really fast" when the accident occurred. She woke up in the water to find Kingston coughing up blood and in a lot of pain. Sanchez said her ribs and jaw are still sore, but that she is in overall good health. Doctors announced they plan to keep Kingston at the hospital for approximately two weeks. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
