Kingston DataTraveler 300 - The King of Flash Drives

Flash drives are in any place these days. You can see them dangling from necks, made as key chains and even bracelets. Flash drives are very popular because they help you carry your files in any place and are relatively small.

Just a few years ago, population were amazed with 128mb flash drives. It represented a gigantic storage space that was unheard of. Of course, technology has a habit of speedily evolving and it did just that with flash drives. In just a few years, mb was replaced with gb or gigabytes. Today, you see flash drives with capacities of over 16gb and it seems like it won't get any bigger than that. But guess what.... It did!

Kingston

Introducing the Kingston DataTraveler 300, the world's largest capacity flash drive arrival in at a whopping 256gb. It may seem crazy to have a 256gb flash drive but if you think about it, files have been growing in size lately and having a 256gb flash drive may just be the tool you need to carry those files with you. It has mean transfer speeds at 20 Mb/sec. Read and 10 Mb/sec. Write. It may not be the fastest but it will do. It might take a while to copy files though when you have a drive this big.

The good news

You can have unlimited flexibility with a flash drive like this. Bring any file with you such as movies, music, photos, installer and whatever else for that matter. Other advantage that some population haven't certainly though of is using this flash drive with Windows Vista's ReadyBoost. Dream what this flash drive can do. That would be something.

The bad news

With all good comes some bad news. There are three actually. First up, it won't be ready in the Us. It will only be distributed in the Uk and Europe for undisclosed reasons. If you happen to find yourself somewhere in Europe, the next of the bad news comes in. It is on a made-to-order basis only which means you won't seeing it in stores. By some stroke of luck that you happen to get to place an order for it, the third bad news comes in. It costs as fortune at £565.67 or roughly 4. Dream what you can buy with that much money.

At the end of the day, it would be nice to own a flash drive with this much capacity but maybe it would be wise to wait a few more years to get the price to lower a bit. You know that it eventually will.
